Lux Education Overview

Introduction

Founded by Yale and Harvard alumni, Lux Education offers intensive SAT I, SAT II, SSAT, AP, and writing classes as well as private college guidance. Our classes and private college guidance are very intensive and demanding because we believe that practice and hard work will allow students to reach the high goals we will help them set. Our classes will introduce all the strategies and information the students need for the tests as well as a timeline and plan to follow once the class is over.

Small, Personalized classes

All classes are limited to 10 students, with individualized attention given to each student. Most classes feature substantial time for the teacher to come around to every student during quiet study to answer any question. This gives the benefit of lectures in a small class setting as well as real personalized attention to every student.

Teacher Requirements

All of our teachers graduated from top universities (Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc), have scores in the top 1% of all test takers (above 750 on all 3 sections), and have substantial experience in the subjects they are teaching. We also provide extensive training for teachers with our best practices (all teachers are required to add their best practices).

Unique Structure

While our curriculum is developed by all of our teachers, we rely on the teacher's expertise to personalize the classes. Our biggest asset are the teachers who are able to provide personal help to the students.

Score Improvement Guarantee

We offer a score improvement guarantee to all students. Under a given set of parameters (determined by the first test scores and subsequent test scores), we will offer a free session to the students who do not match their expected score improvement in our class.
